What is EBC Scholarship
The EBC Scholarship is also know as Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna (EBC): This scholarship is offered by the Department of Technical Education in Maharashtra, India, to students admitted through the centralized admission process for diploma, degree, and postgraduate professional courses. Applicants must be from an economically backward class with an annual family income below Rs. 8 lakhs.

The Maharashtra Government offers a number of benefits under its Open Merit Scholarships for Economically Backward Students. These benefits include:
- INR 160 to all hostel girls every month for 10 months. Thus, the total amount given will be INR 1,600.
- INR 100 to all female day scholars for 10 months. Thus, the total amount given will be INR 1,000.
- INR 140 to all hostel boys every month for 10 months. Thus, the total amount given will be INR 1,400.
- INR 80 to all male day scholars for 10 months. Thus, the total amount given will be INR 800.

EBC Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria

- Applicants must be from the Economically Backward Class (EBC).
- Applicants must have a domicile of Maharashtra.
- Applicants belonging to Karnataka Border can also apply.
- Bank account of the applicant must be linked to his/her AADHAAR card.
- Applicants must not have applied for any other scholarship for the current year.
- Applicants must have enrolled in the Common Admission Process (CAP).
- For applicants coming from a family with an annual income less than 2.5 lakhs, no minimum percentage criteria in the previous class is required to be fulfilled.
- For applicants coming from a family with an annual income more than INR 2.5 lakhs and less than INR 8 lakhs, a minimum percentage of 50% is required in the previous class.
